Festival queue pilot (optional Queue)

Operational guide for busy festivals (for example a cultural centre): keep event info (map, programme, booths) as the priority, and treat Queue as optional. Run Queue on one pilot booth first, with a dedicated Join QR.

Related product work: Queue open defaults Off (booth settings); Join QR is available in the Dashboard when a booth queue is open.

Why optional Queue

  • Staff are busy and situations change quickly — a full-floor Queue rollout often fails on day one.
  • Guests still need clear booths, zones, and area map.
  • A single pilot booth proves the flow (join → call → serve) with low risk.

Day-of checklist

StepActionNotes
1Confirm all booths have Queue open = Off (default)Guests must not see Queue on non-pilot booths
2Pick one pilot booth (staffed, one clear activity)Prefer a booth that can call next steadily
3On the pilot booth only: turn Queue open = OnApp Manage → Booths, or Dashboard booth settings
4Create / activate one entry activity on that boothName guests understand (e.g. “Try-on”)
5Print or display the Queue Join QRDashboard → event → business booths → selected booth (when queue is open)
6Keep area map / programme up to dateHigher priority than Queue for the rest of the floor
7After the pilot: turn Queue Off again if neededOr leave Off overnight for the next day

How guests join the pilot

  1. Scan the Queue Join QR (preferred), or open the booth in the app and tap Queue / Join.
  2. If Bron is not installed, the web page opens first, then offers download / open app.
  3. Guests track their ticket under Profile → My Queue.

QR link shape (for staff verification): https://bron.events/queue-join?event=<eventId>&booth=<boothId>.

Non-pilot booths

  • Leave Queue open Off.
  • Guests still browse booths, map, and programme as usual.
  • No Join QR for those booths (QR appears only when the booth queue is open).

Staff on the pilot booth

  1. Open the merchant / booth screen for the event.
  2. Use 큐관리 / Manage queue to call next, start, hold, or cancel.
  3. Hold (no-show) can auto-cancel after the activity timeout (default 5 minutes).
